Farmers’ Market now open twice a week
The Cooperstown Farmers’ Market will be open twice a week beginning Tuesday, July 4. Summer Tuesday Market hours are 12 pm to 4 pm from July 4 through September 26. The Summer Tuesday Markets will feature local farmers, artisans and specialty food producers along with live music from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm. Lunch options include paninis from Rock Hill Farm.
The Cooperstown Farmers’ Market is open year-round on Saturdays. Current Saturday hours are 9 am to 2 pm, The Market is located at 101 Main Street in Pioneer Alley in Cooperstown, close to Doubleday Field.
“Come check out the Tuesday market,” says Alex Webster, the new farmers’ market manager at Otsego 2000. “Grab a panini, a sweet maple treat, and restock your fresh veggies, fruit, and flowers to keep it healthy, beautiful, an fresh until next Saturday.”
The July Fourth Market will feature Ariginial Art, Charlottesville General Store, Cooperstown Maple Works, Gaia’s Breath Farm, Girasole Farm, Heller’s Farm, Joyfilled Flowers, Mountain View Dairy, Nectar Hills Farm, Red Sky Homestead, Rock Hill Farm, SkinBiome, Straight from the Hive, and Tech Tamer Woodworks, Louis “Blue Water” Waterson will perform on the Market Stage from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm. Additional vendors, including Casey Beal Designs, will participate in future Tuesday Markets.
"Since we're open on July Fourth, it is the perfect time to stock up for BBQ and picnic items," said Ellen Pope, executive director of Otsego 2000. "Fresh local meat, cheese, vegetables and fruit will make Independence Day celebrations even better."
