Cooperstown Farmers’ Market seeks vendors

[Cooperstown, NY] Local farmers, artisans, crafters, and specialty food makers are invited to apply to be a part of the Cooperstown Farmers’ Market for the May 2024-April 2025 season.

“We are very open to new ideas,” says Market Manager Alex Webster. “If you think you have got something great to sell at the Market, please reach out.”

Vendors of the following products are especially encouraged to apply: grains, mustards, ethnic prepared and ready-to-eat food, specialty jams, wool, fiber arts, ice cream, handmade pastas, oils and vinegars.

Cooperstown Farmers’ Market vendors must be within a 50-mile radius of Cooperstown. The main categories of the Market, which was founded and is managed by Otsego 2000, are agricultural products (food and non-food), prepared food products, and crafted products.

New applicants and new products will be juried to ensure high quality and product diversity in the market. The Vendor Selection Committee is made up of six full-time vendors, the Market Manager, and an Otsego 2000 board member. Applications, which are due by March 1, are available at cooperstownfarmersmarket.org. For more information, contact Alex Webster, Otsego 2000 Market Manager, market@otsego2000.org.

The Cooperstown Farmers’ Market is open year-round on Saturdays (10 am to 2 pm January – April and 9 am to 2 pm May through December), and on Tuesdays in July, August and September (12 pm to 4 pm). The Market is located in Pioneer Alley at 101 Main Street in Cooperstown.

The Cooperstown Farmers’ Market, founded by Otsego 2000 in 1991, supports local growers, producers, and artisans and offers a direct connection between producer and consumer. Attendance at the Market averages 650 people per week, with more than 1,000 attending on busy summer Saturdays.
